Gluten-Free Restaurants Are Rare
Despite the known benefits, it’s still difficult to find restaurants with gluten-free options, and even if you do, there’s usually a very limited selection. We did our research and the results were disappointing— when searching “gluten-free food Orange,” for example, we were presented with a list of 30 restaurants.
Within that search, most of the gluten-free menu items were burgers, pizza and pasta— if you’re not craving any of those, your options are limited to grocery stores and desserts. Very few restaurants and even fewer fast establishments provide options for specialized diets.
