As part of Green Tomato Grill’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, we have decided to eliminate the use of plastic utensils at each of our three healthy fast-food restaurant locations in Orange County.
Our goal is to continue enhancing our sustainability practices to ensure we're lessening our ecological footprint.
About Our Sustainability Program
As part of our comprehensive sustainability program, we have implemented various initiatives to promote more environmentally friendly practices at our restaurants, including executing low-waste culinary techniques, utilizing recycling systems, opting for organic cleaning supplies, incorporating biodegradable sugar fiber paper goods, using corn plastic cups and now eliminating the use of plastic utensils.
Our healthy fast-food restaurant prioritizes sourcing locally and strives to obtain as much organic produce as possible through our partnerships with trusted local providers. While we acknowledge that we are not entirely organic and that our menu may not be the healthiest available, we remain dedicated to aligning our actions with our values and those of our customers.
Why We Ditched Plastic Utensils
Plastic pollution has become a global crisis, with devastating consequences for our planet. Plastic utensils are among the culprits, contributing to the ever-growing heaps of non-biodegradable waste that end up in landfills and oceans.
Choosing eco-conscious dining is a powerful way to make a positive impact on the environment. By ditching plastic utensils, we have taken a significant step towards reducing our ecological footprint. Our commitment to sustainability is not only about the physical changes we make but also about inspiring and educating our customers to join us on this journey.
